WHAT WE LOVE:
A re-interpretation of one of Seiko's icons, the SPB151J1 is a continuation of the original 6105 Diver from the 1970s, with all the benefits of modern watch engineering. This model is very reminiscent of the watch that was featured in the 1979 Coppola classic Apocalypse Now, coined and worn by Captain Willard. Seiko fans have been itching to get a non-limited edition, and here it is! Seiko has taken the voices of the niche group of fans and magnified them, remaining true to the original 6105 with none of the shifty vintage features.
The 2020 'Willard' has a 200m water resistance, a date function in the right corner, a stainless steel bracelet and of course, the dive bezel.
WHAT'S INSIDE:
Running the Willard is the Seiko 6R35 Automatic, and a frequency of 21,600 bph and a power reserve of 70 hours.
