TAG HEUER

200 Meters
1970's and early 1980's were for sure the golden era for Tag Heuer with the great Motorsport inspired names: Monaco, Carrera, Autavia Jarama, Montreal, Silverstone.
Parallel to this, a new era began with the quartz revolution. A range of watches with numerical names took place, one of them, the 1500 Series in 1990's. This range, with some exceptions, was entirely quartz powered, and instead of the Chronograph being the heart of the design, the new Tag Heuer watches were based around the "Six Features" dive watch template.
The 1500 Series was the opportunity to move towards for Tag Heuer to set out to replace the original "Six Features" 1000 Series dive watch that it was introduced in late 1970's. After a huge success with the iconic 1000 Series dive watch it was time for a new model, the watch that would become the Tag Heuer 1500 Series.
In this opportunity, we are showing a very sophisticated Tag Heuer dive watch one of the first models from the 1500 Series. Model 929.206D Tag Heuer professional 200 meter, date feature and central seconds hand.
It has a Swiss made quartz movement ETA 955.112 and 7 jewels.
It is a beautiful 40mm round case with black diver-style design and rotating bezel, all stainless steel. The bezel has a triangle marker at the zero position.
Black dial with a combination of luminous circular and rectangular Baton hour marks (circles at 6 and 9 o'clock), triangle marker at 12 on the dial as well, minute marks and the luminescent "Mercedes" (feature of all Tag Heuer for the time) hands design. The date indicator is located at 3.
This watch is coming with the original stainless steel bracelet with double-locking foldover clasp.
This is a luxury timepiece, it is in very good condition! New battery!

Vintage watches are traditionally smaller than today's watches. Men's watches typically measure between 29-36mm (some larger, some smaller) wide excluding the crown. In the listing details we typically try to do our best to list all pertinent dimensions of a watch. If you don't see it, or we failed to do so, please reach out to us. Women's watches from the 1900s-1970s were also somewhat smaller than today’s offerings in many cases. Please also feel free to ask any questions you have pertaining to size.
We prefer to shoot photographs outside when weather is permitting. However, when we shoot indoors, please be aware that we shoot our photographs inside of lightboxes that are lit with 360 LED bulbs. This indeed magnifies any flaws. Usually, they are much less obvious to the naked eye. Having said that, we never photoshop any of our photography, remove blemishes, etc. We adjust light, when necessary, but what you see is what you are getting, and we take pride in that.
The condition is pre-owned.
The item may have some signs of cosmetic wear, but is fully operational and functions as intended.
